Sourced from the Koperasi Baitul Qiradh Baburrayyan (KBQB), a respected cooperative rooted in the lush highland valleys of Aceh, Takengon, this is a coffee that carries the wild, untamed spirit of one of the world's most legendary and distinctive origins. Grown at 1,100–1,600 meters, the Tim Tim, Typica, Ateng, Onan Ganjang, and Jember varieties thrive in Sumatra's uniquely humid highland climate, developing a richness and intensity that is unlike anything produced anywhere else on earth. Each lot is processed using Giling Basah — the traditional Indonesian wet-hulling method — a one-of-a-kind technique that produces Sumatra's signature syrupy, full body and deeply earthy character that coffee lovers around the world seek out and celebrate.
